so im going to be getting 2 12 "RE MX subwoofers. These subs can handle 1500w each and I have not decided which dual ohms to go with since i am still looking for an amp to power these. If I go with dual 2 ohm I could wire them in .5 ohm or 2 ohm, or dual 1 ohm wired to 1 ohm or 4 ohm. I would like to go with 2 dual 1 ohm subwoofer wired to 1 ohm. So far the amp that i like is the HIFONICS XXV THOR which can give 3000rms @ 1 ohm. I would also like to know how much power the subs can handle so i may go with a larger amp.
1 x 1200-Watts....RMS @ 4-Ohms
1 x 2300-Watts....RMS @ 2-Ohms
1 x 3000-Watts....RMS @ 1-Ohm
these will be going in a 4.8 cubic foot ported enclosure tuned for 32-33hz in the back of my 1995 YJ Jeep Wrangler, with the rear seat removed.
