2x 15's ext cab s10

I'm wondering if someone can give me some ideas for a box. I have 41"w x 25"h x 16"d. I'm lost on adding a port to that. And would that be enough room for 2 15's?

That would be about 7.78cu/ft using 3/4 mdf. Kinda tight for 2-15's IMO but it'll work. You then subtract the subs displacement and Voila. lets say your subs displace .5cu/ft each that would take it down to 6.78cu/ft. you also have to subtract any port volume as well. If sealed then fine but sealed is for SQ mainly. I use Aeroports they add cost $ wise, but I've always had decnt results. here's a link for you to play around with

You can do a single 18 in that space...or four 10's, maybe three 12's.

Money is my biggest issue currently, And I'm not to sure about 18's. I'd like to stay in the 12/15 area honestly.

Honestly probably no more then $200. I was going to go with 1 15" for now, then get another later down the road.

And you have to take out port displacement(and bracing) as well in order to calculate tuning...the subs won't displace that much air space either, ~.2ft^3 each depending on the sub.

200 for each sub? if so look into the presale sa-15's. they don't need alot of airspace to run a pair. your s-10 is similair to my frontier on space. that is why i went with them.

SA-15's are a good call. Fi SSD is another option.

I just found out I might have a bit of a higher budget today, around $400-ish. How are the IA Death Penalty or Death Row's?

You must have a newer S10, huh? Because I have a '92 and have way more room than that. I didnt' realize there was such a difference in body styles.

It's a '95. I could get more room If I'd do a wall, but still want to have use of the rear view. Granted that would solve my problem of my sliding rear glass being a trash can lid! And the 16" depth I am sort of stuck with since I am on the taller side and moving it up more then that I would be a bit crammed.

My last box was a 40x18x16 (I think) and the seat was up more then it would normally be, but tolerable.

Do they even sell those new anymore? There was nothing on their site for them, nor on any of there internet dealers sites.
