iv had thissetup for awhile now. i had a hifonics 1606 that i ran at .5ohm for about a year before i blew it. had it wired with 2gauge and a 100a fuse. over the year id say i blew the 100a fuse atleast 4 times but never damaged the amp. after blowing it after a year it was more worth it to get a 2607 with 0gauge wiring this time trying not to blow anything up and i wired it up to 2ohms( letting it put out at most 1700w rms) with a 100a fuse. now the fuse never blew in this set up and i ran it for 6 months the same way. when the amp did fry the fuse halfway burnt but it did not brake and still had good contact points. i want to know why this fuse did not go out before the amp did and why it would with half the amp pushing twice as hard on the same electrical. im guessing the 2607 pulled to many volts and it fried from lowvoltage but if it did that why did it not blow the 100amp fuse?
