2nd battey or just swap under hood?

oh ok xluben thanks, i misunderstood. do i have to run two of the same battery? i thought guys were running yellowtops in the trunk and normal batteries under the hood.

i'm not completely sure, i've never ran a dual battery setup, but it seems that if you were to put them in parallel you'd want two of the same to avoid charging problems.

if a problem occurs then having 2 of the same would be advised. 2 of the same usually yeilds better results but i would say 60-70 percent of people who add a second low esr deep cycle battery dont have the same batteries and the majority dont have problems. im not going to say i never seen a set up though where one of the 2 batteries didnt get a charge though.
