Well I'm not lying when im saying i'm giving my own installs a try. Today I did the same thing I did last time to install a newer amp in my car. I unhooked the positive terminal on my 0 gauge wiring from the battery, and as i unplugged teh amp, i set down the 4 gauge wiring that went in it down.
It sparks and i hear a crackle as I see the fuse to my 2nd battery in the trunk (wired in parallel with the one up front) smoke and break.
Things werent going easy because I didn't have the necessary tools here to install it, so I know I should have been patient and I could have avoided the mess at hand.
My question is though, the reason the spark occured was because of the 2nd battery still "powering" the amp, or at least the cord I unplugged.
Secondly nothing is wrong w/ the battery then though, i assume, its a kinetik 1400?.
I know I'm stupid for not having the right tools or the patience, but bear with me, I'm trying to become better at this through my own mistakes.
And does ne one know the price of a new fuse 150A?
