2G Eclipse Custom Box

I joined this site to get a better understanding of how to achieve my goal for my sound system. Currently in my front two speakers I have Apline Type R speakers. I have stock speakers in the rear.

And in my trunk I currently have 2 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch's in a regular two sub box with a Power Aucostik 1400watt amp. I know to the majority of you this is nothing special whatsoever. I don't really mind because it is enough bump for me and I got everything for $100 off of a friend who needed quick cash because his transmission blew.

Now the thing I need help with is masking a cast of my trunk because my plans were to make a "false floor" or build-up-floor style box. I wanted to make the box to look like a floor with the subs built in. The plans were to build it about half way up the trunk. Now I'm sure someone on here would know how to get an accurate measurement of the whole trunk. If anyone has dealt with an Eclipse trunk you will know how oddly shapped and unsymetrical they are. Especially along the rear paneling. How do i get an accurate mold so I can make the box?

I do not want the stupid Mitsubishi logo on it just the two subs built flush into it with the amp rack hidden....

Thanks:)

The "stupid logo" is probably there because the amp needed some cooling. If you don't want the logo, at least let the amp breathe somehow. As for making the template, use card board. Go slow, trim as needed. You can use a jig with a pen on one end if you can hold it straight.

Just take a container of known volume, fill it with packing peanuts, and dump the peanuts into the mold. Easiest way to get decently accurate measurements of oddly shaped enclosures

That top plate is just a trim panel. It's not the actual enclosure, so you don't need to knwo the volume of that cavity. Just build a square box, to the dimensions you want, and then cover it all with that form fitting trim panel.
