or go used on an older Boston GT amp. Those are my favorite amps for mids and highs.

Italian buildhouse quality with prices that most companies have a hard time beating.

 
No opinions on DD, but there's also the PPI P600.2. @trumpet ; can tell you more about the Phantom line, but it's a step in the right direction for PPI since things went south.

Also, mclerico pointed out yesterday that Boston's got a bunch of refurb GT amps on their site at dang fine prices. I'm debating the GT 5-channel for 275...that price is unreal.

Has anybody clamp tested them? any gut shots? I'm always up for trying new brands.

Per channel into 4 ohms ...... 225W, 0.08% THD

Per channel into 2 ohms .... 450W, 0.3% THD

Bridged into 4 ohms ..... 900W, 0.3% THD

 
I got a Boston GT-28 for sale... awesome 2 ch power 250x2 @ 4, 450 x 2 @ 2, 900 x 1 @ 4, 1250 x 1 @ 2. A bit more for cost than the other boston but id take this one any day myself. Actually come to think of it, why am i selling this amp again? hmm.

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...

You don't need two amps. The speakers come with crossovers to help protect the tweeters.

Perhaps you changed something without mentioning it here? Maybe a loose turn on line? I dunno man...but we'll take it. Hopefully it keeps working. 👍
