2500 Watt Audio system

Hey guys so im new here but and i am in a bind. so i just added a soundstream dtr1.900 with a jl w6. now im have the amp set up about 1/4 power to the sub. sounds good and everything and im planning on getting a soundstream dtr4.680 for highs n mids. but now my problem is with just the sub im getting some dimming at deep notes not all the time but i can notice it. so right now i was thinking buying a high output alt. maybe a 240 amp output. but then i was told a cap would fix the problem and then again i also hear that a cap are junk. and im not really trying to add another battery so what are my best options?

do the big 3 and see what happens. don't add a cap. you don't need a 240 amp alt running that amp. if you're still dimming after doing the big 3 replace your battery up front with a good agm.

If and when u add the other amp a ho would help but is not needed. U could get away with one good agm batt under the hood and one in back along with a pos and neg run of 1/0 to the back batt. Two good agms will cost about the same as a cheap ho alt. When u buy cheap though u get what u pay for. As of right now i would contact a vendor on here mylows10 comes to mind for a big 3 kit.

How did you set your gain to ¼ power?

i have the power level turn up to 1/4 so im assuming im only useing about 1/4 power i can be wrong im not to informed about car audio but i do no that the sub that i have is rated at 600w rms so and the amp is 1800watt max so i dont have levels high on the amp.
