i need a 2500+ watt amp to power one DD 9515. at first i was thinking of two ed nine.1s stacked together, but i was wondering if their is anything better for 600$. i also wanted to know if their was an amp/amps that didnt use as much current. ed nine.1 =130amp max x 2. any suggestions

what is the coil configuration on the sub? when you are running 2500 watts rms you are gonna need electrical upgrades. a brand new orion 2500D can be had for under $600 brand new.
$550 from HCCAfan and i think this month hes doing them for $525 shipped

i was thinking about the orion but it can pull a max of something like 230A, which is crazy and i only have a 200A alt, so i think the orion is out of the question. the coil config is not set yet i have yet to buy it, i have the funds, but can not decides on an amp. i am almost positive the orion is out of the question, too much on my electrical system

i would just get a orion 2500d i know hccafan is a good guy u can trust him and great prices i bought my subs from him and soon to be 2 2500d's and 1 8004 so all i have to say is seriously think about a orion 2500d

your battery is there to help support the strain. you will be just fine with the 2500d.

afterall, what do i know, i ran 16 1200d's and one 8002 off of 10 batteries and a stock 110 amp alt for over a year......

You said it...MAX.

Continuous basis it probably wouldn't be more than 100A, and that would be BLASTING it. 200A of alternator should support SEVERAL thousand watts of audio power.

There are a lot of people running ~2000w systems on ~100 amp alternators w/o problems. Add another 100 free amps and 5000+ should be do-able.
