quick question for someone

hey all

well my question is this.

i have a 89 chevy truck. i am putting a 600 watt profile california amp 2 channels.

i was wondering if i am gonna need a cap or if the battery hook up would be enough.

thanks for the quick response.

are you sure. my gauge inside the car says there is only 12 volts while it is running. im not sure but i thought the profile amps needs 14.4 volts. am i wrong on that.

Those voltmeters arent always right, but 12 does seem low.

You still dont need a cap. The first thing I would do is go to Autozone and get your battery and alternator tested.

Then Id do the big three (seach for it), rather than a cap. Should help you out quite a bit.

I don't think you need an electrical upgrade for 600 watts. Install the system and see how it works. If your battery and alt are in good condition, then you shouldn't have any problems.
