250 watts ok for this sub?

Diamond Audio D3 here are the specs, I will be pushing it with a JL audio 1200 that is capable of 250watts at 2ohms bridged.

Dual voice coil

10 Inch

Frequency Response 28-250hz

Power 400rms/800Wmax

I guess ur JL is the e1200? which is 200W at 2ohms at 12.5V and 275W at 14.4V. It will do fine. Just watch the gains so you dont clip it..

You wont get the most out of the woofer but it would work

thats a perfect amount of juice for that sub IMO......subbass is supposed to 'fill in' with your fronstage, not be a localizeable and unnaturally aggresive in output....disregard bass heads, I've heard setups in which 100rms was more than sufficient to produce adequate bass out of a sub with double the thermal limits you are considering...
