so this is the undertaking i ave decided to go, it's the road less traveled....but if done right will be far cheaper in the end....

2002 vw golf

225 alt for a buick/gmc

making a custom metal mounting bracket to fit it to my car......wish me luck, when the tie comes( this week or next) wheni can get done there and see what needs to be done ill bee takign alot of pics and will make a worklog for us all.....any comments? other than its gonan be hard as balls....

some kind of thin sheet metal.....the new alty is a bit bigger than the old one but i think i can make it fit...i hope.....we'll see.....

just looked at it...we're gonan have to do a bracket that'll bolt onto where the old alt goes, and it'll run to the new alt and the new aty bolts to that, and it'll be on the top and bottom assuming we can make the bigger alt fit in that spot.... it's gonna be close..... only other thing is the plug for the alt....the vw one has 2 wires going to it, the plug on the chevy/gmc alty has 4 prongs...im gonan call some dealerships and see what wire is what...again...this is gonna be rough....
