21" Sub Basket?

I am working on a project and I want to do a 21" sub. Yes I know I.A. maks the monster 21" DP. I really want to try a 21" build on another big azz motor. So does any one know anyone else (whether a build house, individual or audio)besides I.A. that may have 21 inch baskets? I want the basket to fit a standard motor like DD G's motor or Rd super heavy weight motor. Does anyone know If I can call a build house like the one who makes the I.A. DP 21" sub and have the basket I am looking for built? Thanks to anyone that can help me out

I.A. IS a buildhouse, from my understanding. call them and try to buy a basket. and cone, as that also isnt very common. as for having a basket "built"? you are talking BIG dollars there.

I asked a I.A. Their 21" baskets only made to fit their DP motor. That's why I am making another inqury. Thanks for your input.

Yeah the IA baskets had to be re-machined with new bolt pattern to fit there motors.21" just isn't a very common size.

To the OP: Your looking at big money if your wanting to do your own basket for a school project...many many thousands of dollars to do tooling and such for 1 basket is pointless.

I don't think so.. they get them from a vendor in china that could already get baskets that size... they are just being ghey about it because they only want thier customers to have 21" subs...

If it's only a matter of the bolt pattern it wouldn't be hard to drill new holes..

I am referring to the bolt pattern.the basket is not a standard basket used in CA.

Yeah PA is not CA though.Sure concert speakers have been using large drivers for some time.But how many 21" subwoofers are there?

In this particular context PA and CA have a lot to do with each other.

There's quite a few 21" subs out there when you start looking...

That basket has been around for about 15 years

You are correct.In this instance just looking for a 21" basket they are avalible.I guess I was more focused on the woofer as a hole rather then individual pieces.

I think maybe the problem would be getting a cone/recone and fitting the soft parts
