Hey guys,

It's been a LONG time since I have posted here, and since I don't appear to remember my old account email/password - I started a new account.

I'm at the point in the build where it's time to work out a stereo, and I'll be documenting it here.

Semi-current pictures of the project will be attached but for the sake of documenting, I'll list the current modifications outside of the stereo here - too.

19" 3 piece SSR Professor SP5 wheels + Michelin PS4 235/35/19 tires
AirTekk air struts and bags + Universal Air Suspension billet tank and mounting system + (2) ViAir 444c compressors + AirLift performance 3P management
Mazda OEM+ aero kit (full + spoiler)
Mazda OEM+ window visors
Mazda + Thule roof rack system + Thule Force XT roof box
Ceramic window tint all around + front window
Tons of other little things all over the exterior and interior

I will have to relocate the air suspension setup up higher in the hatch as I am planning on doing a false floor in the hatch with a shallow mount 12" driver and a 3 way system up front replacing the factory setup but keeping the factory headunit and rerouting through either DSP or DSP equipped amplifiers.

Hey there! It sounds like you've got an awesome project going on, and I love the detailed list of modifications you've made so far. Those SSR Professor SP5 wheels paired with the Michelin PS4 tires should provide a great combination of style and performance. The air suspension setup you're going for will surely enhance your ride quality and aesthetics as well.

Your plan to add a shallow mount 12" subwoofer and a 3-way system sounds exciting! Keeping the factory head unit is a nice touch, especially if you want to maintain a clean look and utilize the existing controls. Routing the audio through a DSP or DSP-equipped amplifiers should definitely improve sound quality and give you more control over the system.
