2015 Dodge Challenger AMP help

Hello guys. I own a 2015 dodge challenger 6 speaker 276 watts system that sounds like crap. I have the stock HU and have a few questions. I'm not too bad when it comes to doing my own installs but havent done much more than install speakers and DIN. I'd like to keep my 8.4 UCONNECT HU, change all 6 speakers, and add an AMP. Now, the HU doens't have any RCA outputs and through research I realise i'll need a line out converter. I'm thinking an LC6 may do the trick as I don't want subs in the car. My question is, after I install the new speakers, do I tap into each speaker and run new wires from all speakers to the LOC, then connect the LOC to an AMP? Also, i'm readin the 6x9's in the doors are crossovers. DOes this mean they are primairly used for the bass sound of the system? Will this affect the way I wire everything? Sorry for all the questions as I am a tottaly noob to car audio but am willing to do things myself, that how you learn. If i can support any other info, please let me know. Thanks guys!

I would hook the LOC behind the head unit, and also run 9 wire from the deck to your amp, this way you don't run multiple pairs of new speaker wire. In the base system, as far as I know, the 6x9s and 3.5s are tied together so grabbing the front l/r signal at the headunit should be fine.

I would suggest researching and buying the proper tools first. You don't want to mess up your brand new car.

okay so the 3 1/2 and the 6x9s work together basically is what youre saying. so run the 9 wire from the HU all the way to the back to the LOC, then connect the LOC to an amp?

I am not 100% sure on that, but I am pretty sure they do on the base system.

LOC and 9 wire behind the head unit. Cut the speaker outputs and connect the radio side to the LOC and the speaker side to the 9 wire. Then 9 wire and RCAs to your aftermarket amp.

Again do this only if you have the non-amplified system. I would test to be sure the fronts are tied together as well.

would you recommend something like a LC6 LOC? not those small ones? I read the the LC6 or LC7i are bgetter to use..not sure..

also, how do i test to see of the 3 1/2 and 6x 9s work like that?

I haven't even bought speakers yet so any suggestions would be nice. No rap or r&b just rock some metal and mostly 80s stuff. I was looking at the alpine spc but they are pricy
