2013 4runner 4 Channel amp install Help

Anyway I'd say 90% finished. Amp hooked up with sub and layed new wires for tweeter dash and front door. All I need is the 6.5 adapter and I'm done. Well not really test drove it, sounded great even without the midbass yet but the lights on HU is out .

should be illumination wiring right? I'll sleep on it and deal with it tomorrow.

Turns out my crimping skills is the suspect, one wire came loose as I shoved the HU back in. Hooked it up sgain and lights are back on.

Anyway I haven't even finish the install and already planning to change my amp for the third time in the near future so I'd like to prewire it for a 5 ch while I still have car apart. I could sell the hd600/4 and make enough money to get an xd700/5.

So 2 more speaker wires and 1 rca. Where do I tap the 3rd sni35 for the rear speakers?

Noticed my amp doesn't turn off when radio is off but it turns off when car is off. So pulled the hu again and tried one out of the 2 blue wires (supposedly ant and remote amp), now amp turns off when hu is off even when car is running but amp turns off when the hu is switched from radio to aux/usb. So I figured thats the ant wire so I tried the 2nd blue wire and it's just like the way it was orignally. My question is are all your amps on when the car is on even when hu is off? or it doesn't really matter?

What's the best way to you set up the amp gain by ear or by multimeter?

Should matter too much if the amp only turns off with the key. The one thing that may be annoying is there might be a pop if you manually turn the deck on and off. Although it should turn on and off with the deck and not only by the key. Whats the voltage read on the remote when you turn the deck off.

If you have a really good ear you could tune the amp by ear but the better way is a dmm

Did you mean should not matter too much?

I'm a noob here so how exactly do I check voltage that you're asking? Is there any other option where i can splice the remote turn so that it will shut off when hu is off?

I have tried to do the dmm gain setting with jl specs for the hd600/4 but didn't like the end result though so I ended up trying by ear.

when you turn the headunit off, your amps should turn off, when you turn the headunit back on the amps should come on...... the remote wire should only send signal through when the deck is on. seems you might have it wired to constant pwr

Originally I have it on the red wire (constant 12v power ) but like I posted earlier I tried both remaining blue wires but no luck.

Which wire should I try tapping it? Or is it bcause I have left the blue wires unconnected from the metra harness and directly wired to my remote gain?
