Like I said I only know what I have used/currently have - my focals were 300/set and the IA6.4 was 470 so I have 1070 just in that. Granted the OP's budget is 2k more then mine was so ya he could probably do better.

Buying new adds up fast and it is too easy to jump to the next size amp for what seems like a few dollars more.

I was just saying I would work on the have to have first while going over on the electrical requirements then work on the variables such as amps/speakers/subs that way the electrical is already planned out and in place.

It will give you an idea as far as what brands are ok and what ones to stay away from.

I dont have much experience with buying stuff from different places but I did have great CS from these guys and I would not hesitate with any brand they sell --> Sound Solutions Audio
