there is far superior subs to the 9500 seies on the market and i'm not talking neo's. DD was pretty much one of the first co's to come out with a hand built spl sub and yes they are good but far from the end all. they need to step to the times with better spiders/larger and leads that will improve there sub soo much.

i think thier soft parts are actually really good i think audioques soft parts are seriously trash though.

its the really thin lots of layers with the leads inbetween. it causes problem due to friction. would like to see them go to a 8" spider...

As much as I can see, most of the louder street, streetmax, extreme, and some superstreet vehicles still use DD subs.

Well that can't be good at all. The DD 9500 being the pinnacle means you want to copy it as closely as possible man.

yea there good subs tommy just stating there weak point, every sub has a weak point when pushed hard enough. its like blowing up a car engine something will break when overreved...

If you read through their website then you'll find that the guys at DD have fun at work, and they build amazing stuff. They're pretty expensive but you get what you pay for.

Pretty expensive? They are down right insane on their prices. Only product I have ran and would run again is the 1508's although I am sure the whole 1500 series is good. These rest is meh as far as I am concerned.....
