WOW there is alot of work in that motor. couple questions though why the pole vent when the motor has cutaways for the coil to cool? isnt this design dropping the BL alot?

The pole isn't fully saturated yet as it's not an enormous Neo (aka: Warden) -- so the pole vent is fine.

The pole combined with the cut aways creates a directional air flow path in the motor that moves hot air away from the coil very effectively... several of us manufacturers are on to getting air to move where we want it and not just move it all over the place. If the air isn't directed often the same air will just move back and forth (aka: traditional pole vent) and not achieve much net cooling.

I see the word is out! We hope to have it ready to go on the 15th, but we usually always miss our time line by a week or two with up to the minute last minute changes and improvements. We call this motor design S.T.A.R. - Six Tier Axis Radical Cooling (looks like a star too) - the idea is to improve air flow and increase cooling. The only thing people didn't like about the 2008 DP is it only seems to handle double RMS and not triple RMS....so we are trying to improve the abuse factor with new coils and a new motor setup for better cooling.

The new logo is a definite improvement, but I don't know how I feel about the cutouts in the motor structure.
