I have had a 2007 RE XXX 15 sitting in my closet for about a year now.

Just sitting there waiting to be installed.

It will be going in to my FJ Cruiser.

I plan on matching it with a Hifonics XXV Thor - 3k @ 1

When I got it, it was hot off the press. Not a whole bunch of them we around. Now that a year has passed, I want to get some opinions, and some suggestions for the size and tune of the enclosure..

Thoughts? Ideas?

We were just talking about how we wanted to check one out at the last Arizona meeting. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

4.7ft^3 ported to 35 for daily, 38 for SPL.

I just heard 2 15s in 4.7 each, off 7000w:eek:

****ing crazy, Its going on the meter on sunday:naughty:

And I love my 12, it gets warm quick with 2500w, but has only smelled on me once after pushing it too hard for 10 mins with the gain too high. If you pay attention playing it LOUD, you should have any problems

I'd like some more opinions on the 15" RE XXX also, Im interested. I currently have a Fi Q running around 1300-1400 watts, and I think I need more low and loud bass. Hopefully I can fit a 15" in my trunk, but I was wondering what ya'll think of a 12" XXX compared to a 12" Fi Q?

And what kind of amplifier is good for an XXX, I have no clue how many watts an XXX can take normally.

He had to have done something wrong...I remember that thread and it seemed iffy. The woofers get really warm after an hour or 70% cranking, but not scorching:confused:

If your looking for full SQ and not tons of output 30hz will do it. a perfect balance I would say 5ft@ 32hz like you got from david, will work well. But serously, these woofers still sound great ported to 35-36hz.

Amp wise....for short showoff burps and comps, you can give em 3000w...but for everyday, 2000w keeps the voice coils happy. Such weak *** thermal handling, yet an amazingly capable driver:crap:
