2007 MECA finals: nov. 17-18 (nashville)

Little bit of a short notice, but MECA finals is this weekend.

Anyways, this year it's back in Nashville at the Tennessee state fairgrounds. The address is 625 smith avenue, nashville, TN.

Last minute changes/money issues/no time/equipment breakages have taken a toll on our team this year.

This year all the cars are inside buildings, so no worries about getting rained on like last year. The testing area is "outside", but it's in a big covered pavillion so no worries there either. This place is a LOT nicer than the location last year. It has to be in an open area since the fire marshall would not allow running cars inside the buildings. Oh well.

It's pretty easy to get to. I would pay to park. Parking on the street around there could be questionable.

The one notable score that I just cannot get over is eric alexanders driveby score. An ABSOLUTELY insane 136.7 dB!!!!!

That score is from 6 feet away from the passenger window (meaning outside the car), 30 second average on music!! Needless to say, I don't see ANYONE beating that number for a LONG time. Tommy Mckinnie was the previous record holder at 133.2. Eric beat that by 3.5 dB!! With half as many subs and less power!

And on his second run he destroyed his windshield and still managed a 136+. His peak hold measurement was 138.4. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I was standing next to the van when the windshield went, and his van was the MOST violent and crazy thing i've ever seen. And i've seen every loud dB dragger and bassracer out there.

Insane is the only word I can use to describe it.

I'm guessing that number wasn't with the "flexing" box you had at the meet a few months ago LOL

You also did very well on driveby, way ahead of everyone else in your class. You got your **** together for sure.

Also, pretty much everyone in driveby 1 had lots of problems with blowing fuses or scores just being way down. I myself was about 2 dB down but was luckily still able to pull off the win.
