2006 Toyota Camry SE - Looking for suggestions

I am currently driving a 2006 Toyota Camry SE. It has a JBL factory system in it and I'd like to keep that installed and maintain the factory warranty. However, I'd also like a little more bass and I am considering a powered subwoofer.

I'd appreciate any suggestions you guys could give me to help me choose a good, cost effective subwoofer that wouldn't require too much messing with the current wiring in the car. I haven't toyed with aftermarket audio installations in about 10 years and I want to take the easiest path here, but still get some bang for my buck. I'm trying to keep it under $250, but I don't really even want to go that high. How are subs connected to the existing factory system? Do I just unhook the back two speakers and put those wires into the powered sub or what? I had a bad experience in the past when I basically overheated a HU by wiring wrong and I want to avoid that again. I need a sub with an easy instal and preferably a built in amp.

I want to keep as much of the factory system as possible, so I'd like to keep the factory HU and most speakers. I just want a little more sound and bass.
