Ok here's the deal, I went out and bought the wiring harness for my VW to install my AVN 6600. The black part connects to the part in my car no problem but WTF do I do with that white connecting end? It doesn't fit anywhere on the eclipse unit, so do I clip that off and just connect all the wires out of the back of the eclipse unit manually or what? I am very lost right now and need some help. Here are some pics to better explain what I am saying.

you get the harness adapter for eclipse radios from CC. it plugs right into that harness and requires no soldering.
WTF I was just at CC and bought that harness and was talking to the dude about it and he didn't suggest any harness like that. Is that an additional harness that connects to that one and then into the radio?

^^ No that's only for the Eclipse CD1000.

The one at CC is only for the standard Eclipse radios. The Eclipse Nav units have a different harness. Just clip off the white plug and match the colors up on the two harnesses.

Nope, thats not it either, DUDE just clip the wires and reattach. I doubt you'll find one because most of the times that these nav units get installed they are done by pro's who arent gonna need a plug and play harness, they just use a standard adapter harness

Don't really have to solder it do you? I use the butt-connectors or crimp caps on my installs...done about 5 so far and none of them have had any problems.

Anyways what model is your Jetta? I have an 06 Reflex Silver Jetta ... value edition. So no boost for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Also...where did you get that harness? My harness didnt have the white connector...it was just the wires. Weird.

I have 2006 Jetta in i think United Grey, its not the value edition but I do have the 2.5 with some features, unless the value edition is the 2.5 then I might have it. I got that harness from Circuit City and it's just the standard metra harness.
