2006 Jetta & AVN 6600 = stumped

I have 2006 Jetta in i think United Grey, its not the value edition but I do have the 2.5 with some features, unless the value edition is the 2.5 then I might have it. I got that harness from Circuit City and it's just the standard metra harness.

Like it has been said, just clip the silver harness off and attach the wires. If you don;t want to solder, use one of the other fasteners mentioned and you will be good to go. If CC didn't have it when you talked to them, they will more than likely do the same thing.

alright thanks for the help everyone, looks like I have to do the non lazy way. I just have a problem with that because I've installeda regular headunit but with this screen theres so many wires it makes me think im gonna screw it up.

**Off topic if anyone has a new Jetta did they get that piece of shit steering wheel that is like textured plastic? I see in some pictures of the GLI and they get a nice leather wrapped steering wheel, can I somehow install that or anything?

That harness is the CC smart harness that plugs into the back of the Eclipse CD headunits. THEY DO NOT WORK FOR ANY OF THE AVN SERIES. Go back and get the harness just for your Jetta (i.e. not the smart harness), then you have to solder/connect the wires by color and tap into VSS and Parking Brake. Or as mentioned, just cut off the white clip and connect from there.

Hey scott...yeah I have that same steering wheel....but I like it..or love it.

Although the leather would be nicer....since I got the VE model I can't complain. There is a way to swap wheels....not sure how though.

you get the harness adapter for eclipse radios from CC. it plugs right into that harness and requires no soldering.

The standard radio harness are different than their indash units.
