2005 MANDATORY Draft

WWII Germany was never communist...although it did share some similarities to communistic lifestyle, they were 100% fascist.

Well, I'm just glad I'm smart and nearly legally-blind...the army wouldn't want to touch me with a 10-foot pole.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Actually if you want to get historical and nit-pick, Hitler was a Fascist...which is all the way to the Right.
Fascism - A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

Communism - A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.

You're mixing political and economic structures, you can have a fascist communist. Communism is just socialism under a tyrrany. And as far as fascism being all the way to the right, you're not even close, the further you go to the right, the less government control there is. All the way to the right is anarchy.

If you watched Saddam's political moves over the last 14 years you would see that he is just like Hitler, just more of an idiot and less powerful.

youve got to be joking. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
from an economic stand point, he is correct

for economics:

Right: favors less government, traditional "hands-off" approach

Left: favors more government, this is where communism comes in and the government controls everything

for social aspects:

Right: favors more government, christian values and all that

Left: favors less government, people can do what they want

Actually, he's sort of correct on that one, in theory //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Some of our most hard-line Democractic Presidents have expanded the government in large ways...think FDR and the New Deal, the largest expansion of the federal government in the 20th century. But, in recent years, things have gone awry with that...

Like the Who said: "Meet the new boss...same as the old boss".

Perfect example.

And like I say: "Quote the Who whenever you can":)

No way a draft happens. Bush is stupid as 400 hells and I could see him wanting to put together his Christian army to bring all the non believers to see the light (or kill them). But it won't happen, relax.

No, and do some research before replying. REPUBLICANs are known for things like enforcing christian values (anti-abortion, censorship, etc. ) but these are not veiw points coming from the right, they are just assocaited with the political party. To the right of republicans are libertarians who favor leagalization of things like prostution and drugs, then to the FAR right are anarchists. Not everything George W. Bush or the Republican party does is conservative, they just happen to be the more conservative party.

And the labels "republican" and "democrat" really have no concrete meaning - after all, Lincoln was a Republican arguing against pro-slavery Democrats...times change. Most of the South up until the civil rights movement was Democratic.

Im not a coward, I just disagree with going to war for the reasons we are currently at war. If there was a clear cut danger, such as another Hitler or someone like that who was trying to take over the world, you better believe I would be the first person in line to sign up...but with the current situation, I'd rather not subject my life to poor intelligence. I have better things to do. More power to you for protecting this country, but to me life is more important than trying to be a hero for the wrong reasons. I support our troops, however I do not support our motives this time around.
Excuses.

You would find a reason not to fight regardless of the different threat posed.
