Well, the stupid company that makes the dash kits, Metra, wont give me an answer. so!
In a 2004 Ford Taurus there is a airbag light that turns on when you start the car or turn off the passenger airbag.
When you use the kit, it has the airbag light turn on cause, guess what, that light is NOT there anymore. SO. I called around and found out from one source, that to fix this you do the following.
Place a 10,000 omh resistor between ping 3-5 on the wire harness that goes to the radio. EOL!
I have not tried this yet, but non of the other shops will confim this, and Metra won't tell me cause I am not a quote professional installer. SO.. Can any Metra dealer post a link or image of a fax or sheet that shows what needs to be done to fix this?
