Today I went to circuit city to buy a new stereo for my mom's 2002 cavalier cause the stock stereo is going out, I bought a Pioneer DEH-P3900MP and paid for all of the extra stuff that I needed to hook it up. Well I went to eat to kill some time and when I get back the guy said that I needed a special wire harness that is $100, I was like **** I paid about $225 for every thing else and didn't have enough for the harness only got $47 left, lol. My question is do I really need that special harness or is circuit city trying to get more money from me. And if not could I use this harness from walmart for my stereo that I found?? I really don't know about car audio so sorry if I sound stupid lol.

the most expensive wiring harness i ever saw was the one for the 98 taurus and it ran from the front of the stereo to the trunk, $65 buck and it was alot of wire. i would punch that f**ker in the mouth and say... "there isnt a wiring harness in the world worth $100!

should be four or so screws inside the glove box...then it shoul be 2 or 3 on each side but you ahve to take the side panels of to get them then you gotta take the screw off the vent that blows air on the window and there should be a bolt under that then it should just come right off...

trust me it gets more comilcated as you get into car audio i wish this was all i had to worry about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Whatever you do, don't go grippin and rippin.

Bastards at best buy (this was about 3 yrs ago) broke 4 of 5 clips holding my dash in, I knew some were broke off (they told me one broke), but when I went to put the pioneer in, I found that out...

When volume's all the way up my whole dash rattles like a mofo

That harness he was talking about is the GM Adapter, they charge 119.00 for it at BB if I remember correctly, maybe it was only 100. I had a guy try and fight me because they told me I wasnt allowed to do it any other way
