2000 watts rms @ 2ohm

Just picked up 2 skar ddx 15s d2 for a steal. Looking for an amp that can power them at 2ohm. Don't want to break the bank. Right now I'm considering 2 of the rp1500.1 or 2 of the lp1000.1

Thoughts??

This is why I was not leaning towards .5
I'm doing the big three before my install. And I will run new 0 gauge also. But I've read .5 is harder on the battery and alternator. I mean I will eventually upgrade both but not right away.

I don’t think those amps are strap-able so you’d have to gain match.

You’d be better off going for an amp in that 350-400 price range and running it at .5

rise is usually a lot higher at 2 ohms so technically you arent getting as much power as half ohm pulling less current than half ohm. Efficiency tanking is also another factor.

On paper and resistive loads then yes it shouldn't make too much difference.

get an audiopoop 3000.1 instead. Its basically two 1500.1s strapped to 2 ohms already.

Have it coming in, planning on testing it on my bench and then up for sale, heard they do 2400W at .5
