2000 Elantra Wall Build pt. 2

Maybe next season I will get to attend a few more shows.
Well, I am about to start a side project on the car in a few weeks, I am going to post detail once everything gets here. I am hoping to get started on the sub build in febuary so I can go down to SBN.

 
Ok everyone the time has come to revile what I am planning on doing next. I got a few packages in today. Lets all take a look and see whats i them.

I wonder what can be in these boxes?

Now for the power I am going to be using a Rockford T1500.4

I am going to run these active and I am still waitng on my AudioControl DQX.

The build starts next weekend.

I have the tweeters molded into the A-pillers but I am going to do somwthing a little diffrent on this build.

As you can see I bairly had room for the b oston crossovers. I had them held in place with bach strap. I plan on cleaning up all the wiring in the doors. I am going to use a terminal strip to connect all the ID's and Seas twetters togeter to make the install cleaner.

I am going to have to cut out the sheet metal around the factory speaker opening to help accomidatethe depth of everything.

OK everyone here is what I did today.

Geting setup to start making my template for all the baffles.

After I cut out the outer radia

I could not find the bottom plate for my roughter so I could not use my collets so I lined up a sheet of 1/2" MDF to give me a straight cut.

Geting ready to cut out the baffles, I use a 1/2" by 3/8" tracer bit to cut all the baffles. Makes things so much faster and everything comes out to be the same.

After te first pass, I made three passes in order to make it all the way through.

And all 4 baffles cut out. Took ten mins to do this. No joke.
