2000 Caravan Deck Install

Hey, my buddy has a 2000 Dodge Caravan with the standard radio. We got a new radio for it, but cant find the wiring diagram for it anywhere. I was hopoing to find someone who has done it before or knows of a website i could use. I already checked installdr.com but nothing. Also, i need to know how to get the dash peice of and also what install kit i need to make the DIN radio fit. I really appreciate any help. Thanks

Go to an audio shop.They will have the mounting kit you need and the wire harness. Once you have those it will be a lot easier, no need for a wiring diagram

The factory ground is a turd to get out,and the antenna cable may be short.And get the wiring harness for it...Makes it MUCH simpler.Only problems I had was the above mentioned antenna and ground.Look at the bezel around the radio and climate controls...there should be 2 screws for the top on the under side,just above the radio,with the heads pointing down.There are 2 more in the same position on the bottem of the bezel...you will have to remove the trim peice above the cup holder to get to them.Take these four screws out,and remove the bezel,making sure to unplug the climate controls.there are 2 10mm bolts holding the stock radio in,remove these 2 bolts,and viola,the radio should come out.All this is based on a 99 model...but shouldnt be much,if any,diffrence.And word to the wise,space behind the new radio will be tight,so keep your wires fairly short...Hope this helps
