I'm looking into a Honda Accord coupe as my new car, I know this is noobish but how much rattle would I get with 2 12" Arrghs in a ported box built to recommended specs on 1k RMS? Any installation problems with the 03-04 besides the whole HU issue? Eletrical issues? and of course everyones least favorite, potential loudness in either model(00-02, 03-04) with afforementioned setup. Also, how hard are components to install in them?

Components is in the front doors of an 03+ accord can get to be difficult depending on how deep your mids are. There is a small hole for the factory magnent to fit through, and even with some spacers you'll still have to cut some of the inner door skin.

Thanks, I kind of want to do the install myself, but seeing as all my installs have been fairly bad/ghetto, I'll likely succumb and let a shop do it since unlike my past vehicles, this one will be is pretty new.

take the time out of your life to get it done right.....don't waste your money on a shop!!

ah dude if you're gonna get an 03 or 04 get the kit that goes where the lower pocket is. i was in the same situation as you i didn't wanna mess with the a/c part but i found the kit that just replaces the lower pocket. if i still had the car i'd show you pics but it was clean.

You should see the mistakes that I have to fix because someone dosen't know how to install something properly. Getting it done right may be the difference between have a stereo that works and a car that's burned to the ground from an inferior install.

you guys should see some of the B.S. installs I have had to fix because someone decided to take their car to a shop and pay out the @$$ for some dumbshit to do it all wrong

On the 98-02 Accords "6th Gen" the front doors are alittle easier to the get the mids in on the doors, but the real problem is the door panel, you don't have much clearance with it, you will have to shave alot of the panel to get it back on.

I am assuming the 03-07 "6th Gen" are the same ( I have a 07) The doors have a REAL small opening for the speaker, so more than likely cutting of the metal door is going to be REQURIED, but the good side, the door panels have ALOT of room and the fit back on with ease, just alittle minor shaving.

As far as trunk rattles, I used dynamat xtreme on both trunks with no rattle, well some but very minor.

My opinion, go with the 7th GEN accord.
