$200 budget

my cousin wants to get a little "mini"speaker system for her room and the budget is 200 bux...here's what we're lookin for

8 inch sub...thinkin re8 or tangbang 8

box...make it myself

two 6.5" speakers

reciever

could that be done with that amount of money or should i just look at a sound system already put together for that money...i would really like some advice on a reciever...thanx

theres really no way to do a 200 $$ budget with 6.5'' speakers and an re8 PLUS a receiver. buy it in steps. here's my suggestion

Kenwood VR-707 receiver - 100

KLH 970A speakers - 20

RE 8 - dunno, like 50?

theres my suggestion. what do ya think? i have all those components and i am EXTREMELY satisfied.

u should do that, the 8 would be like 65 shipped, box would be like 20 tops, 6.5's u can get pretty cheap although u may not even need them. just keep factory speakers, maybe a blaupunkt orlando, i believe they go for right at 100. install is free if u could do it. amp, only needs like 80 watts for that little sub to move fully.

god **** i got lucky. i got that kenwood off macmall.com for a hundred bucks, NIB, not refurbished. i cant find one for under 150 now....
