in my impala there was an amp in the trunk up between the 6x9's i believe it would be there..

what are you using to get the signal to the stock amp? any rca?
and you want to use the blue/white from the hu to the amp for turn on...not the antenna lead.

also, you can do testing to see what the issue is....check at the amp to see if it is powering on with a dmm.

How I understand it the new deck sends the signal to the stock amp through the GMOS-04 wiring harness.

So I want blue/white to blue/white then? I tried that and it didnt seem to change my problem.

I'm not sure where to access the stock amp unfortunately.

do you have the upgraded monsoon speakers?

and that deck does have power ic option, its on page 22 of the manual. see if its on.

I dont think it has upgraded speakers, going to check the power-ic now.

Unfortunately I dont have a dmm on hand. Is there another way to test it?

I know if I plug the HU Interupt wire to the blue/white wire it triggers the HU interupt cycle.

a very small light bulb....like a dash light bulb.

touch the blue/white to the end and ground the outer ring.

I used a small flashlight bulb with the blue/white on the bottom and the outter casing hooked to the black ground wire and it did not light up.

makes me believe the stock amp is not turning on.....make sure there isn't a setting for turning on an external amp.

Wait did I need to have the HU plugged in for that test? I just tested the blue/white coming from the harness without the HU plugged in.

also, you can try turning on everything, and then connecting the blue/white that goes to the amp to another source of 12v such as the yellow or red wire.

hu needs to be plugged in....and test the wire coming from the hu

i had the same problem and if you did the same mistake then u failed to connect one remaing wire from the harness to the radio. in my case the color of the wire was blue. dont remember which one, either remote or antenna
