$20 for a solution

So I recently purchased the iDA-X100 with a Metra GMOS-04 harness for my 05 monte with a nice amp and two 10" subs.

I'm doing a self install only because the local install bays are booked up for a week and I dont want to wait.

My problem is that although I seem to have the deck wired correctly to the harness it doesnt work. I have power, my antenna is clearly picking up the right stations, but there is no sound.

I've done some google searching and it seems like it may be that the stock amp is not powering up? No clue to be honest.

I currently have:

Red to Red

Yellow to Yellow

Black to Black

Orange to Orange

Thats where I start to get lost.

The deck has blue/white listed as Remote Turn-On and the Harness has Blue/White listed as AMP turn-on. On top of that the deck has blue as Power Ant, which one website tells me to go Power Ant(blue) to AMP turn-on (blue/white).

Right now all I'm trying to do is get my stock system to work with the new deck. Hooking up the AMP and subs will be my next adventure.

is there an internal amp option on the deck? A lot of alpines have this ability and it will do what your talking about, on my old 9853 the option was called power-ic, on or off.

I dont see anything about internal amp, or power-ic in the manual. Am I looking in the right place?

So your trying to just get your new deck to play to the speakers without using an external amp? right?

what are you using to get the signal to the stock amp? any rca?

and you want to use the blue/white from the hu to the amp for turn on...not the antenna lead.

also, you can do testing to see what the issue is....check at the amp to see if it is powering on with a dmm.

Everything in the car is stock at the moment. I have a nice new kenwood amp but its not hooked up.

Right, but eventually I'd like to hook up my external amp to power my subs.

do you have the upgraded monsoon speakers?

and that deck does have power ic option, its on page 22 of the manual. see if its on.
