Hey guys,
This site has helped me tons! I will be installing a new system into a car sometime next week. It will include 2 amplifiers. One amp being an Infinity Reference 475a for the 4 channel, and a JL 1000/1 for the 12w7 sub. I currently have a 4 gauge Rockford Fosgate wiring kit and an 8 gauge Rockford Fosgate kit as well. Though I'm wondering if it would cause distortion or any problems to run 2 wiring kits to the trunk opposed to one huge (probably zero gauge) kit? I really don't want to sell my 2 kits and buy a larger new one.
Will my current wiring setup be enough? Should I keep the 8 gauge and sell the 4 gauge to buy a 2 gauge instead? A professional car audio friend said that a good brand 4 gauge wiring kit can handle 135 amps and the JL should only use 100 amps. Will I be ok with where I am? Also, I will be using a 2 farad pp1002tm-cap as well.
Thank you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
