2 type r or 2 L5?

i got a jbl 1201.1 amp and its puts out most of its power at 2 ohms, so does that mean i need to get 2 ohm subs too? also which ones are better type r or L5? i want 2 12'. i want SQ but alot of bass too. ported? sealed? i dont listen to any rap so just mostly rock and stuff like that. thanks dudes

get two dual 2 ohm subs, wire both into 4 ohms and then wire both together into 2 ohms. i would go with 2 type R's myself. I just bought one today, havent heard it yet but from my knowledge, Type R would sound better

You will want to get dual 2 ohm subs to achieve a 2 ohm load on your amp.

ported will give you a lot of bass, but you will lose some SQ. I would think a good comprimise would be to get the type r's and port them. They are a great combo of SQ and SPL. The L5s get loud, but dont have the greatest SQ.

i love the way my R sounded.. it was almost TOO punchy for me at first.. but thats a good thing if you listen to a lot of rock.

its a great all around woofer
