i'm going to take the type arghs out later today, and i'll take pics of them then with my phone, my cam isn't making the cut.

update on type arghs! they are both in good shape, after removal from the box, i realized the one that i thought was scratchy, was just loose on one of the terminals, creating a scratchy sound, so turns out they're both in good operational shape.

i tested all terminals, all read 3.8 ohms exactly

phattonydemarco will followup with confirmation, and i'll have pics up in a few.

I can confirm this, I just got home from Mike's house. All coils read 3.8 ohms on the DMM, and the subs are in the condition he is describing.
