2 TS-W3004SPL Vs. 12" Type Rs.....?

what is the better subwoofer setup. I see a guy in the classifieds selling a set of the TS-W3004SPL for a nice price. My question: is the output and performance of the TS-W3004SPL subs better than 2 12" Type Rs? Off of a BX1500D amp.

First off, try searching, there's multiple threads on this exact comparison.

My brother has type r's, I have 3004's. I prefer mine, he prefers his.

3004's sound better and are just as loud if not louder IMO.

i don't think you can go wrong with either set up...

anyone i've read on here that has heard both has more often preferred the tsw over the r...

I've heard both. The Type R belts the low end a little better and the Pioneer has a lillte better SQ. The Type R is more efficent. They are both great budget woofers. I'd lean toward the R's since the premiers will need a ton of power.

Im debating this too...I have 1200Watts to throw out and I dont know if the type rs or 3004s will be better??

with 1200w available get the r's. personally i think the pioneers will get louder given the right power but the r's will have better sq.

I want loud, Im not really an SQ guy, I listen to ALL Rap/Hip Hop...I just heard that the Pioneers might need more power...I havent heard em before but some ppl are saying that they have a slight edge over the Rs...but I only have 600wrms for each sub and I do not plan on upgrading...

With the power you have better get the R's but if you can get a bigger amp then get the 3004's they can get louder and sound better than the R's. IMO

Yeah but I only have limited power and I am planning on staying with what I have, I really wanted to check out the premiers but If I am going to underpower them and not be happy Id rather just get the rs, SBLAZER was telling me that 1 15 type r would be enough

Get the R's with that kind of power cause piooner are likes the power, i have the small brother and they rock, both are hard to beat for the price.
