2 subwoofers....1 amp

I have 2, 4 ohm subwoofers. Would it be better to wire them somehow for a 4 ohm load to just a mono channel amp? or wire each one separate to a 2 channel amp? which and why??

Are the subs dual 4 ohm or single 4 ohm? (Dual 4 ohm subs have 2 sets of terminals on them). Regardless, you are better off wiring them to a mono amp. Mono amps (or Class D's) are more efficient and less expensive than 2ch amps because they are made exclusively for subs.

If you have 2x 4ohm subs they will wire to 2 ohms. If you have 2 dual 4 ohm subs, they can wire to either 1 ohm or 4 ohms.
