im gonna be adding 2 more 12s in a 5 cube sealed box *2.5 cubes per chamber* and i want to add something LOUD. im thinking of anything 1kwrms or more for each sub. afterwards ill buy an amp to push them.

im thinking of going audiobahn so i can reverse the subs and show off some chrome sinc ei have a bed cut. they have hella good power handling for the price and look dead shnexy. im not worried about how they sound, my box will take care of any rubbish sound some people complain about.

subs in mind:

1500wrms - http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/Catalog%20Page.asp?Product+%23=AW1208Q

2kwrms *little weary of THAT many watts for so cheap* - http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/Catalog%20Page.asp?Product+%23=awis12

1100wrms - http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/Catalog%20Page.asp?Product+%23=AW1206Q

1kwrms - http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/Catalog%20Page.asp?Product+%23=AW1205Q

what do you guys think? go ahead and throw in some of the RE and ED subs as im sure you will //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif just keep in mind im wanting some loudness, my box will pickup the low and mid 30hzs like you cant believe!!! im thinking of getting the 1500D also, or the 1800watt avionixx(sp?) if ED still had it listed. anyone know the specs to any of the TRU amps and if they are any good?

as far as price goes, im not really on a budget b/c i have plenty for 2 subs and an amp. im also buying new tires for my 18s and doing some suspension work so i need to save as much as possible.

open to suggestions

actually for spl it is kind of hard to beat a digital designs system if it is set up properly. check out the 9500 series.

In a daily driver with about 1kw to each woofer there are a lot of subs I would take over any DD...they don't displace all that much.

For pure SPL purposes they shine...but daily drivers there are better out there-especially if he's going sealed.

so which is it? :p
lol, i meant but* im getting 1500 cash back. i was thinking of using around 500 for 2 subs and an amp .... thats just an aim price :p

i think one of my subs blew today on the way to work :-\ all of a sudden a big pop and then an aroma. but they played fine home, i gotta check em out afte ri get back from the orthodontist.

id love to slap in 2 flame Qs in a sealed box with a bx1500D and 2 more in the ported box with another 1500D ..... mmmm tasty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wacky.gif.cf4a48f9e6dfe9504ffd2c946fd2f340.gif

I have a DD 9512 e series in a 3.33 cu^ft box ported to 28hz. It's **** loud. They make some of the loudest subs around. Also, it sounds great. Most of the time, you don't listen to your system at 100% volume, so nearly all subs will have similar SQ IF they are installed correctly. Granted, some subs can get much louder and still sound clear, but do you value your hearing?

I know that I do. I hurt my ears listening to my DD9512e while it had great SQ. I didn't feel a need to turn it up and hurt my ears more. I'd be interested to see what mine hits in my 4 door sedan, I bet it's pretty high.

Anyways, two 9515's can hit close to 170's in a correct install. Great subs, and my setup is clean enough for daily listening all day long.

I highly recommend them.

If anyone wants a 9512e series, I'm selling mine. $350 + shipping takes it. MSRP $609

Peace.

T.J.
