well more cone area, u would need more power u would b able to wire to a different ohm load. more can go wrong , a bigger box etc

2 subs is not always louder than 1... actually, the number of subs you have doesn't make it specifically any louder. Same thing when a bunch of rookies think a single 10" sub can't be loud... that's a joke. A single SA-8 (sundown 8") hit over 150 dbs, that's probably louder than anything you've ever heard..

Right but thats not in a music or daily box, which it what most actually use to listen to there subs. If your looking for loud daily a single SA8 is not where its at

But yeah it depends on many things, like the car itself and how much power you have

We can't tell you, a lot of it depends on the power you're running. Whats the equipment you have or are looking at?

the general rule is double the cone area and get 3db, double the power get 3db, so if you add another sub of the same power, then power them both(double power) you would get 6db gain. Not always the case though as it gets exponentially harder
