2 sub out puts?

Generally when there are two either one is an input and one is an output, or one is front and the other is rear/sub...just be sure you plug into the right one...

so much miss-info in this thread.

If you read before you posted you would understand that the OP has a Single Pair of RCA outputs for his Subwoofer output.

The CORRECT way to install the amp is to use a pair of rcas ran from the headunit to the sub amp.

The sub amp uses both left and right to make the signal for the subwoofer.

Using a single rca from the headunit to the amp, while it MIGHT work, is not the correct way.

Got to say if you have 2 rca's (2 wire's w/rca end) or 2 Sets (4 wire's w/rca end) You should have two plugged into your amp Music can be faded into the left and right channel and if you have one you will miss what's in the other channel. Even though it a mono amp those 2 channels are mixed into one.

my head unit has 6 total rca outs. left front, right front, left rear, right rear and then 2 designates dub outs. i just didnt get why it would have 2 for subwoofers unless you have 2 seperate amps running on their own.

Ah, I thought you meant you had two sets of sub outs, your sub amp should have stereo inputs, and only using one will cause you to only have sound from a single channel, which means you will only get certain parts of the music. If your amp only has a single channel sub in, you can use a 2 into 1 RCA adapter to make sure you get all of the sound.

couldnt i just use a a pair of rcas as in a 2 chennel set of rcas? and connect both ends on my head unit and both ends to the stereo input and be good to go?
