2 solobaric l7 15s or one eclipse titanium 15

The JBL can be had @ ikesound.com for I believe 284 shipped each... They consistently bench test at around 1350 wrms.

As for which will be louder, it depends on install. Properly done, I have no doubts of the brahma outpacing the eclipse TI line.

can u give me your email so i can get back to you about buyin em when i get the money....i should have the money in a month

Like I said before, the L7's can keep up with the Eclipses if you want them to. They just can't do it with the same sound quality that the Eclipses can, while the Brahma's will outdo the Eclipses in both categories, in my opinion.

So it kind of looks like this:

Kicker L7- Can be as loud, not as clean sounding

Brahma- Will be a bit louder and definitely cleaner

Two Brahma's can handle as much power as 3 kicker L7's. Hey, I'm a Kicker man and have been since my first system. Even I'm telling you to go with the Brahma's in this case, lol.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I think you'll be shocked at what a Brahma can do. But for $200 you'll be very pleased with the SPL output of the Kicker, good value there. It will be just for you, you won't have anything on your friend. But he'll have a lot more money invested, so you can pick on him for that. Stick with two JBL1200.1 amps either way.

Hey, while we're on the subject.

Jlaine, what do you think about me switching out my two 10" L7's for one 12" Brahma. I'll be using the same amp, will it be worth it? It seems like a no brainer to me, ten inch speakers receiving 500 watts vs a twelve inch receiving 1000 watts. And what kind of box would I need? I liked that sub zero box, but for $200 I think I'll just make my own, lol.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yes, that sub zero box is quite nice, but for $200, if you have the time and the tools, I'd definitely DIY... If you cannot, then that would be my #1 pick.

As for your question, the kickers have the brahma in terms of cone area, but they are really quite limited in terms of stroke, so overall displacement may be pretty close to identical, as stroke plays a VERY major factor in it. Factor in your extra power, which can bring a brahma to full xmax in a ported enclosure, I'd say you are looking at a fairly close margin of output, but IMO a better sounding setup.

Thanks.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I will be getting a Brahma in my next setup.
