2 setup comparison

amp : MTX Thunder TC3002

sub : Infinity Reference 1050w

OR

amp : Hifonics BXi 606

sub : JL Audio 12W3v2-D4 Dual 4 ohms 12W3v2

I ordered the Hifonics / JL 2 days ago... I just wanted to know how good will it sound compared to my friend's system ( Mtx / Infinity )

Its one single sub powered by one amp

Should I put my JL in a vented/ported or sealed enclosure?

They are both mild setups. I would more than likey take the hifonics/JL setup.But I dont care for JL,Infinity MTX or Hifonics not until u get in thier higher need stuff.To be louder port the JL.In the end I would do the MTX amp I dont know the specs but I assume it is better built than the Hifonics.I am sure a W3 can get louder than the REf. Just me .02
