2 runs of 4awg power wire = to 1/0 ??

And your fuses are too small. You fuse for the wire, not what's on the other end.
You CAN fuse as high as the wire is rated for, but if the amp doesn't NEED 100% of the wire's rated current fusing SMALLER than that is only an increase in protection at a negligible cost to the amp and no cost to your ears.

 
are you meaning to say two 4 gauge doesnt equal 0 gauge....well if you go to stingers website it says there are 4284 strands in 0 gauge....the two 4 gauge i bought has 2058 strands which equals 4116 so its about 168 strands off...i dont think 168 strands is going to make a big difference when your talking about 4000+ strands
You can't draw that conclusion unless you know the awg of each individual strand.

That comparison points out that the strand size is NOT equal because it takes 2.5 4 ga wires to = one 1/0
