2 ported type rs vs 1 sealed type x

Installed both R and X in custom ported boxz...the r got louder the X didn't do well on lots o power....1.75 each+ works fine did a 3.75 for a pair at 32 hz and it got low and played well...for alpine anyhow

These are guys that compete in sound quality and have trained ears. Both of them score 80's in SQ in MECA.

I must be doing something wong if type r's sound horrible and peaky in a sealed box to me
