2 ohm vs. 4 ohm??

I have a punch 360 watt amp. I'm gonna buy 1 JL 12W3. I'm new to car audio. I don't fully understand the ohms. What does it matter and what is recommended? I don't want anything to blow my alternator or whatever. Just a little bit a rumble in the trunk.

usually the lower the ohm of the speaker the more power the amp can put out to it

just make sure your amp can put out the ohm load

for instance if u have your sub at 1 ohm and your amp does not do 1 ohm u will blow your amp

and 360 watts will not mess your car up
