18's that can handle 6kwrms?

i want to get rid of my BTL's and try something new..Something that will hopefully have me in the 155 dB range

only thing that comes to mind is Atomic APXX's and Kicker Solo X's any thing else?

PS im leaning towards the solo X because of cone area

I dont think a Solo-X can handle 6k RMS. Look into RD audio.

good ****... there is better ways to get at 155db than a single woofer with 6k

good luck on finding coils strong enough

only woofers i've ever used that will take that are tsns's..

i ran a pair of gp3000d' pro's on 16v strapped on one and it took it like champ.

sure if i put the amps @ a 1 ohm reactive load on a sine wave the woofer would have failed, eventually... But on music w/ the spider package i have its no problem.

mine gets pretty hot on my SAZ-3000D. Sounds really good though.

To the OP... your gonna want to find a driver with a 4" coil. Helps with the heat and everything to have a larger surface area.

You can try what RAB suggested the RD Audio SuperHeavyWeight (SHW) im sure Steve can whip you up something that will meet your needs.

If your not exactly STUCK on an 18 that needs 6k, divide the power up, you will gain a LOT more.

If I may ask... what amp is this 6k coming from??
