2 ohm VS 4 ohm

What amp are you using? 2 ohms will let you "Get the most" out of your amp, but then again the amp may put out a lot more power than your sub can handle at 2 ohms. If your sub can take the power that your amp puts out at 2 ohms, then I'd probably go with the 2 ohm..

heres the deal im starting off with 1 12 like i said i dnt have an amp yet but im planning on probably putting another 12 in eventually. any suggestions would be great.

1 2 ohm sub will wire to 1 or 4 ohms.1 4 ohm sub will wire to 2 or 8 ohms.
no

1 dual 2 ohm sub will wire into 1 or 4 ohms

1 dual 4 ohm sub will wire into 2 or 8 ohms

he is correct. I was on the assumption of dual. My bad.

This is what i'd do, get a 4 ohm cvt to start off with. Get the kicker zx750.1 amp, when you wire it up the amp will see 4 ohm and put out around 400 watts. When you get your second sub, buy another 4 ohm cvt and wire them in parallel and the amp will see a 2 ohm load and you'll probably see around 800-900 watts out of it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
