looking for speakers to replace the bose. 06 silverado x- cab. leaning towards the jbl power series p 660 c for fronts and p662 for the rear doors. i know the oe ones are four inch but from what i've read 5.25 to 6.5 can be made to fit. Plan on using the bose power supply unless aftermarket amp would be the way to go. would like to upgrade the 6.75 sub speaker in the console also. I wasn't sure about by passing the bose power supply with all else that's affected Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. thanks smshortwide.

It's better to bypass the Bose amplifier and install a new subwoofer enclosure and new speakers. The subwoofer can be upgraded, but it's a gamble on whether it will actually make good bass. You can fit a ported single sub enclosure under the rear seat without taking up the entire space. You could use a 5-channel amplifier to power it all.

when i had my altima with 2 ohm bose I tried infinity kappa and the jbl powers you posted and the jbls were much better the only thing the kapps did was they were a tad louder than jbl but the p66s is a good matchup for the stock bose amp in my opinion and my ears. since you are limited to 2 ohms that is.
